Description
The buffalo has been a recurring imagery in the early works of the artist. Here, the artist depicts the ‘Raas Leela’, the ecstatic dance in divine love by Lord Krishna with his lovers, with the imagery of two buffaloes. The male and female buffalo depicted here, draped in bright yellow and orange clothes, with water gushing under them. Through the depiction of overwhelming love by using illuminating colors and the symbol of the buffalo couple, the artist creates an ambient space of love, using vibrant blocks of color on the body of the buffalos and playful drapery around them.
