Description

Inspired by the lush environment surrounding his hometown nestled near the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, the artist embarks on a poignant journey through his series. Here, amidst the serene beauty of nature, he bears witness to the heartbreaking struggle of wild creatures, besieged by the encroaching footprint of human activity.

In the relentless march of industrial progress and the unyielding embrace of a mindless consumerist ethos, humanity’s dominion over the natural world grows ever more pronounced. What was once the realm of untamed wilderness now yields to the demands of commerce and expansion. As cities sprawl and factories churn, the delicate balance of ecosystems is upended, and the denizens of the forest find themselves displaced.

In this work, the artist depicted a group of deer and buffalo in the heart of a complicated ecosystem where the green is struggling to exist with other industrial expansion. Through skilled processing of materials salvaged from construction sites, the artist breathes life into his vision, crafting a narrative that speaks to the profound impact of human intervention on the habitats of these majestic creatures. Each piece bears witness to the silent suffering of those whose homes are lost to the relentless march of progress, a testament to the enduring resilience of nature in the face of adversity.
