Memory and nostalgia play a decisive role in the ideations of the artist and in this innovative, mixed media work- the tactile visual depiction is of a farmer family, created with organic materials from the earth itself. The visual portrays a walking family, supposedly three women with baskets on their heads. The village life is being translated flesh and blood in the visual with the lively use of organic materials, created on the backdrop of a bamboo thatch.
Farmer families no longer hear the call of agriculture since their goals are now more focused on urban prospects. The loss of this legacy is echoed in the rural environment as the appeal of modernity and development replaces the harmonizing picture of family working the land in peace.
