Description
For this series, the artist draws inspiration from his hometown near the Kaziranga National Park, Assam where he has been observing the plight of the vast body of wild animals due to the anthropogenic behavior of humans. Due to the expansion of industrialization, the neoliberal economy of a free market forced nature to obey humans and humans gradually invaded the forest, greenery, and waters to fulfill its wants. Here in this work, the depicted elephant, bird, and deer are shown in a land of diminished green and growing surfaces of concrete gray.
By meticulously processing the materials from construction sites, the artist created this unique form and depicted the visuals of the animals where their natural habitats have been majorly impacted by anthropogenic behavior.
